Choosing a Christmas tree

We chose and cut our Christmas tree this year. It was so much fun. There were so many to choose from and we had a hard time choosing. After much debate we finally picked the perfect tree!

Addilyn is 6 months old!!

It's our sweet girl's half birthday! We should have named this baby Joy because she brings joy wherever she goes. She is sooo happy all the time! She smiles at everyone and loves to laugh. She has started sitting up by herself but she hasn't quite mastered it yet. She has started grabbing things and enjoys playing with toys. 

Addilyn Ruth is 5 months old!

Addilyn Ruth is 5 months old!! She loves kicking her feet and sticking out her tongue.  She smiles at everybody and has started laughing. Lily is the best at making her laugh with her daddy coming in a close second. She will just smile at me, I can't get the giggles.

Halloween 2015

This was the first year that Olivia Ann could really enjoy Halloween. It is also the first year in a long time that we have had Zack and Lily on Halloween Day!! Halloween was on a Saturday and we had so much fun! We went trick or treating in the neighborhood and we went to see Mark and Ruth and Tommy and Ellen! Mark and Ruth weren't there, but they left us their HUGE pumpkin and a cupcake treat. They are the best people and are always so good to us! Zack was a Carolina basketball player, Lily was Wonder Woman, Olivia Ann was a bumblebee, and Addilyn was a bunny rabbit!

Addilyn Ruth is 4 months old!

Addilyn Ruth is 4 months old! She loves to smile at everyone, especially both of her Papas!  She rolled over for the first time today. She is constantly moving her feet. She is such a blessing to our family!

Justin and Andrea's Wedding 10.3.15

Justin and Andrea got married on October 3. They were married at a barn in Surry County and it was beautiful!! All of the kids except for Addilyn were in the wedding. Zack was the ring barrier, Lily and Olivia were the flower girls. They all did a great job! We are so happy for Uncle Justin and Aunt Andrea!

Addilyn Ruth is 3 Months Old!

Addilyn Ruth is 3 months old! It is amazing how quickly time is going by. Addilyn is making lots of sweet baby noises and she smiles at everyone. She really loves for you to hold her hands and pull her up. She is a very slow eater and is quite the spitter. She is such a sweet easy going baby. Nothing seems to upset her. Olivia is still doing ok with her. She likes to grab Addi's hand and pretend Addi is hitting her. Olivia will say "Ouch!" point to Addilyn and say, "trouble, trouble!"

Hill Ridge Farms!!

                           

We LOVE Hill Ridge Farms. We have gone every year for the past 3 years and it is always a good time. They offer free admission 1 weekend a year for teachers so we are all about that weekend. There is so much to do. The kids love the barn filled with corn and the barn filled with hay. We also love the hayride and the free pumpkins.

                              

 

 

Lily's Cheer Competition

Lily started cheerleading this summer. She had the opportunity to participate in a competition. At the beginning of the summer she wasn't so sure about the competition part, but finally decided she would do it. She started attending tumbling class after cheerleading about half way through the summer. She has learned to do a cartwheel and has learned how to be a flier in stunts. It is amazing how much confidence she has gained this summer through cheerleading.

Marbles Kids Museum

The week before school started back, we decided to visit Marbles Kids Museum. The kids always love going there and I love it too! Anna went with us and I am so grateful she did. It was a blast. After the museum we went to Big Eds for lunch. It was a fantastic day!!

 
 

Addilyn Ruth is 2 months old!

Addilyn Ruth turned 2 months old on August 23. She is smiling and cooing. She is still super relaxed. She enjoys going for rides in the jogging stroller. Addilyn is paying more attention to things around her. She is on the smaller side of the scale, but the doctor said she is just "perfect" and we think so too!

Zack is in 5th grade and Lily is in 2nd!

Zack started 5th grade this year! It is really hard for me to believe that he is already a 5th grader and I don't even want to think about him being in Middle School next year. He still wants to be an athlete when he grows up. His teachers this year are Ms. Whitaker, Ms. Hines, and Ms. Edwards. He loves school and so far loves all of his teachers. He is also playing soccer this fall with JUSA. This is an adjustment for us already because he has had practices on Saturday and Sunday. The league is a lot more competitive than the YMCA, but Zack is really good at soccer and I think this league will be great for him. He has already learned a lot. 

Lily is starting 2nd grade which is just as hard for me to believe as Zack starting 5th. She also loves school and her teacher, Mrs. Daigle. She wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up. Lily started cheerleading this summer in Clayton and she loves it! It is amazing how much she has improved. She started out not really being able to do any tumbling and she wasn't so sure about being a flyer. Now she is doing 4-5 cartwheels in a row and they look great! She is also the flyer in their routine and is doing a fabulous job. Every night while watching TV she is stretching. It is great to see how much she has improved and how much she loves what she is doing!

Olivia's first day of daycare

         

Olivia had her first day of preschool when I went back to work in August. She is going 2 days a week to Wilson's Mills Baptist Church, which is where Lily went. Her teacher is Miss Gabby. Her first day she didn't cry when we left, but we heard she cried after we were gone. They said she had an ok day, just sad in the morning. When I went to pick her up, she cried because she didn't want to leave! She was riding in the buggy and didn't want to get out. I was expecting her to run to me screaming "Mommy," but that didn't happen! :-)

Addilyn Ruth is 1 month old!

Addilyn Ruth was 1 month old on July 23! She is such a relaxed baby which is amazing! Addilyn is very content just laying around. She is only upset when she is hungry. She is sleeping great and has started making a few sweet baby sounds. Olivia LOVES her and so does Zack and Lily. It was an adjustment for Olivia, but she took her uneasiness out on TJ and I, not Addilyn.

Spring Break 2015 in Kitty Hawk

We went to Kitty Hawk for Spring Break. We decided we wanted to go to the beach before our newest addition arrived. It was a wonderful few days. We saw 3 different lighthouses and enjoyed spending time on the beach. We also went to see the Wright Brother's Monument.
